Club Contact

The new MP3 blog from London's club Contact. The idea is to allow people to hear new music they wouldn't have otherwise found but, if anyone has any copyright issues with a particular song, i'll take the link down. Songs are only available for a limited amount of time.

He puts the music on

Elize is a fantastic, poptastic Dutch singer. According to what I can gleam from Dutch sites on the internet, Elize grew up in Utrecht and is 22 years old. One translated-from-Dutch site tells me that "as Elize did not sleep, she sang and danced" which is quite impressive. Equally impressive is the fact that she completed a training for Executive Board Secretary / Management assistant at the Dudok College in Hilversum.

So not only is Elize talented, but she also has an office career to fall back on if it all goes a bit tits-up. Speaking of which, this photo of Elize is from Maxim, showing that she really is utter pop - displaying, as she is, her fondness for swingy, swingy, swingy(-ing) like a bird on a wingy, wingy, wingy.

This the very first song I played at Contact: Shake, which also was Elize's first release. It contains the line "he puts the music on" (see what I did there?). Elize followed this up with the pounding, astounding Automatic. Shake, produced by some of the people that worked with Aqua, is a funky, bouncy track with an infectious melody and rhythm.
