In an attempt to ingratiate myself with our hosts at Juno, i tried to Spanish-up my set last night. I decided at the last minute that i couldn't unleash Las Niñas De Barrio on an unsuspecting public so settled for Ojos Asi by Shakira, Genio Atrapado by Xtina and Nadie Mejor Que Tu by the brilliant Fangoria. The duo of Olvido Gara and the wonderfully-titled Nacho Canut have been together in one form or another since 1978, their most recent album, 2005's Arquitectura Efimera, displays that their powers have not diminished over time. It's certainly one of the best electro-pop records of the year.
